I’m Martin Cole, Head Gardener

Thanks for dropping by. I’ve been gardening for nearly 20 years now, and was once a finalist in the BBC’s Gardener of the Year competition.

I’ve been writing about gardening on  Gardening Step by Step since about 2012 and I’m really excited that last year, after 10 years living in Australia, I moved back to the UK. 

This means I’m back on familiar gardening territory (it’s tough gardening Down Under, let me tell you), and am now in the process of creating a brand new garden.
